# Macworld SF 2008 |

We’re almost there. The expo opens Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., as the Keynote commences at 10:00. Some conferences begin on Monday and continue during the week What was unusual, there were not a last minute free expo passes by any vendor. There are slated some 455 exhibitors, with 50,000 attendees expected to attend Tuesday. So far, this is the predicted agenda for the Keynote (not in any particular order):A major update to Apple TV in response to the movie contracts to be announced.Slim laptop of some description, as a number of possible features have been predicted.iPhone firmware 1.1.3 update (yippee)Last year, the iPhone was announced and released the end of June. With the 3 G iPhone predicted June or July, an announcement would be consistent.

Electric Pig talked with a source at Sling who said they will be developing software that would allow the iPhone and IPod Touch to receive you favorite TV channel. it will be totally software, compared to their hardware alternatives for computers. No release dates or pricing, though there is already software for cell phones ($30) This makes believable when they say “Its coming.”Regarding through put concerns of AT&T’s Edge

We know the 3G iPhone’s coming,” said the source, “so that’ll obviously be better. But, for now, the iPod touch could end up being the best way to use Slingplayer.

MacRumors reported that Sling is one of the companies that received an early copy of the iPhone SDK.They are not listed as a vendor for Macworld.
