With this weeks spitting match with NBC, Apple is about announce new iPod’s on Wednesday. While not likely in the original plans, the new iPod could now be an explanation point the fact that Apple has a 70% share of the player market. This fact alone refutes NBC’s assertion that iTunes pricing is to facilitate iPod sales. iPod’s sell themselves.
Also, NBC does not deny that the price out the door (downloaded) would double.
