Waited at AT&T for an hour and a half only to find they had run out of the 8 GB iPhone. I zoomed down to the Apple Store in the StoneRidge Mall, Pleasanton. Three people in front of me and in we went. A cash register was open and in less than a minute, I had my iPhone. Bought a case and a car charger, and that was over in minutes. The AT&T stores were taking 15 minutes to process a sale. We watched this while in line. It was suggested by Apple that it would be easier at an AT&T Store, only they stocked the Apple Stores with tons and not so the AT&T stores.

The activation is taking a long time and I have yet to receive the confirmation. I am told by AT&T, it could take up to 24 hours.
