Steve Jobs took the stand and introduced the new features of Mac OS X 10.5, some not publicly seen before. The Finder, one of the most criticized features of Mac OS X, gets an alternate face lift. To the desktop is added stacked icons. iChat is improved and Leopard finally brings support for 64 bit applications. And there is more.
Leopard is due in October at $129, and Leopard Server is also due in October, at the old price: $499 for a version limited to 10 file-sharing clients and $999 for an unlimited-client version.
Apple has provided some demo movies of the features. The Finder demo is a must.
