# New iPods coming at last |

Hardmac reports that a journalist who requested an 80GB iPod for review from Apple received the unit – but got a call urgently requesting its return by next Friday (5/4) at the latest. In fact, all news outlets have apparently been told to return all iPod review units to their maker.

The theory is that Apple doesn’t want reviews of the ‘old’ iPod in the media anytime soon, as it is prepping the release of new models. New iPods had been predicted for Christmas, then MacWorld, last January. iPods, were then already overdue for an upgrade. More …
