InfoWorld is convinced that Apple has plenty of corporate integration initiatives. The article points out that Mac OS X Server supports FTP, DNS, and DHCP. # Apple TV setback |

Apple has sent emails to all pre-orders confirming a delay in the shipping of the much anticipated Apple TV. Confirmed by Steve Jobs himself to be delivered by the end of February. The frustration of the anticipated delay has been enormous, indicative of a bullseye, as reported by BusinessWeek.com. More …

Reports to AppleInsider, “have singled out the device’s embedded software as the likely source of the delay. It’s also possible that the device has yet to receive the necessary go-ahead from the Federal Communications Commission.”

Camino logoCaminoBrowser.org has released the latest development milestone of the group’s namesake browser. Camino 1.1b offers the following fixes and features:

• Privacy & Security—Camino now warns users if the login form on a website differs from the form used when saving the password
• Annoyance Blocking—You can now disable all plugins
• Session Saving—You can now restore tabs and windows that were open before an unexpected quit.

# The Daylight Savings Devil |

Comparison’s with Y2K, are alarming. It is being predicted a number of devices dependant on the clock could give us trouble. I have a wrist watch, car stereo, and alarm clocks that don’t know the different from night and day, unless I tell them. My cell phone is a mystery, so I expect to have to change the time. Uncle Bill (read M$$$$) is viewed by this author, as only caring about himself. He is trying to launder he’s conscience through his foundation. Apple is viewed as having the consumer’s eye. The article argues that Steve is the bad guy for, among other reasons, keeping DRM a part of iTunes music, forgetting that Apple would never had secured a contract with the labels without some copy protection.

iPods are banned at the school in Germantown, Philadelphia, and when a 17 year old teenager brought the music player to class, a 60 year old high school teacher attempted to confiscate it and an altercation took place. The teacher was hospitalized with two broken bones in his neck. A 15 year old student was allegedly an accessory to the assault, as reported by The Age. More …
