The 8 million Sony batteries recalled by OEMs recently has now resulted in a notebook battery shortage, a Bloomberg report notes.

Reports from three Taiwanese manufacturers, that make the batteries from Sony cells, indicate that the battery squeeze could last until June 2007 before output catches up with demand. More …
