If you use Skype VoIP software to make voice calls as we do, you are advised to immediately download and install the latest version of Skype 1.5.x.80 released yesterday. The new version fixes a high risk security hole that can allow a miscreant to execute arbitrary code on your Mac if you are tricked into following a malformed Skype URL.

One of the hackers who claimed that JavaScript can be used to gain control of a computer running the Mozilla Foundation’s Firefox Web browser has retracted that claim according to published reports.
