AppleInsider:Â Apple is still possibly planning to release late-year updates to its 13″ MacBooks and 15″ and 17″ MacBook Pros. The objective is to equip them with the 64 bit Merom, or Core2 Duo chips before the Xmas rush.

The upgraded laptops could hit the streets anytime between now and November, AI says. The MacBooks and MBPs are reportedly ready to go, and all Apple needs to do is throw the switch.

The entire line of Macs would then be 64 bit.

Quoting CEO Robert Iger, The State (AP) is reporting that the iTunes Store has sold 125,000 Disney movies. Moreover, this volume generated $1 million for the company in under a week.

“Clearly customers are saying to us they want content in multiple ways,” Iger said. “[But] we are choosy in terms of the partners we pick.”

Disney expects revenue of $50 million in the first year from its partnership with Apple, Iger is reported to have said at a Goldman Sachs investment conference in New York. To date, the iTunes Store and its 75 movie titles is the exclusive legal download venue for Disney. More …
