AppleInsider believes the company will invite media to an anniversary bash at which new products will debut, either just before or just after April 1.

The report predicts new Intel-powered iBooks, a larger-screened (17-inch) MacBook Pro, and an “iPod-related” product may debut at the show, should any event take place around April 1.

A recent Wedbush Morgan analyst report suggests Apple may release a “true” video iPod as soon as next month, claiming “independent confirmation from a reliable industry source” to support these claims.

A Thirtieth Anniversary Mac, or iPod (no, they have not been out that long) should be considered possible.

Apple plans to hire 3,000 personnel in India to do tech support. But it appears that might only be the tip of the iceberg.

Macworld UK reports that although still available through the Apple Store and most resellers the 20″ iMac G5 (PowerMax) has been declared “end of life” (EOL) by the company.

“With immediate effect, the following product and it’s relate configurations are ‘End of Life’ and no further orders can be taken,” Apple has said in a note to resellers.
