AVC and Antig Technology will demo a production-ready fuel cell for laptops next week on CeBIT trade show. According to PC Magazine, ‘the CD-ROM size fuel cell will fit within the media bay of a notebook PC, replacing the drive with additional battery power.’ The fuel cell battery will last 8 hours. Reviewing the MacBook Pro for the New York Times, David Pogue writes: “Over all, the MacBook Pro is a beautifully engineered machine. If it’s not the world’s finest, it’s darned close. Ars Technica has also reviewed the MacBook Pro, with some interesting notes about battery life. “I have mixed feelings on the results. On one hand, an average time of 3 hours and 17 minutes is not necessarily bad (in fact, many of my PC-laptop-using friends were still jealous to hear even this number). Apple, has released a dot-fix for GarageBand. This patch weighs in at just 1.5MB, and is said to fix and feature:

GarageBand 3.0.1 addresses an issue with Podcast production using the French or Finnish localized versions.
