This article contains a list of all printer drivers and PPD files included with Mac OS X 10.4.4 for Intel-based Macs. Some printer files included with Mac OS X 10.4.4 for Intel-based Macs might not be included with previous Mac OS X versions, and vice-versa.
Do you have a compatible printer?
There are no open source gimp drivers, as yet. I use Gimp-Print HP Laserjet 4 series driver for my HP 4 printer (works marvelously).
Planamesa is offering the latest milestone release of its popular Java-based office suite, NeoOffice 1.2. Fixes and features in this iteration are said to include:
• Supports Open Document Format (ODF)
• Offers improved stability and performance
• Now supports printing of EPS images
• Now supports all of OpenOffice.org’s accessibility features
NeoOffice runs native on Mac OS X and does not require X11.
There are a number of blogs which predict that Mac OS will be substantially less secure because of the Intel hardware. MacInTouch, earlier today, did post such a position. Only to have later posts counter this possibility.

Mozilla replaced its Mozilla Suite 1.7 with SeaMonkey 1.0 and it is available for download. SeaMonkey 1.0 is essentially Mozilla 1.8, an integrated internet suite consisting of a Web browser, email client, web composer and IRC chat client.
