MacRumors has the, hopeful expanding list. Universal binaries are applications that can run on PPC OS X and Intel Mac OS X

Engadet has video of Mac OS X running on a Thinkpad. While it is only 10.4.3 (no video drivers or wireless), it is possible evidence that it may be harder than Apple thinks to control the hardware.

Feuding groups within the WiFi standards committee appear to have compromised and the 802.11n WiFi standard that promises to quadruple the speed of wireless networks is due to move ahead this week. Hopefully, the committee will adopt the compromise and the draft standard resulting in the new standard being completed in 12-18 months. Manufacturers are already gearing up to produce MIMO (multiple input/multiple output) hardware based on the draft standard and Airgo’s technology.

Reports spreading across the web that Intel Macs can’t boot Windows XP might be inaccurate, reports Dan Warne for APC Magazine. Apple’s Intel Macs use an Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), instead of the older BIOS found in most PC’s. This is not an Apple proprietary protocol, but created by Intel and has major advantages over the much older BIOS. It has been thought that XP is not compatible with EFI, This is now in doubt. A computer that could run OSX/XP-Vista/LINUX would be so welcomed. A bit technical, but a good read.
